Experienced administrators usually go straight to the specialist modules — NHS claims, GDPR, finance or stock — or the Practice Manager Certificate.
The FP17 and UDA content is written for the NHS contract in England, with notes on the differences in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Records, GDPR, finance and stock control apply UK-wide.
Yes. The administrator track is the most common route into practice management. The Dental Practice Manager Certificate (Level 4) builds on it with leadership, HR, finance and compliance modules.
No. Every track starts with a free taster and a foundation course written for people in their first weeks in the role. Advanced courses assume you have completed the foundation level or have equivalent experience.
There is no deadline — access is for life. Most learners finish a foundation course in two to three weeks studying an hour or two a week, and a CPD module in a single sitting.
