Ask our teamYes. Every module has documented aims and objectives, anticipated learning outcomes, a quality-assurance process and a certificate stating the hours and GDC development outcomes — the four elements the GDC requires for verifiable CPD. You log the hours in your own eGDC record.
Dentists need 100 verifiable hours per five-year cycle; hygienists, therapists, clinical dental technicians and orthodontic therapists 75; dental nurses and technicians 50. Everyone must complete at least 10 hours in any two-year period and make an annual statement.
Highly recommended: medical emergencies (10 hours per cycle, refreshed every year), disinfection and decontamination (5 hours) and radiography and radiation protection (5 hours). Recommended: safeguarding, complaints handling, legal and ethical issues and oral cancer early detection.
