Everyone who works in a dental practice. The Dental Receptionist, Dental Administrator and Dental Coordinator tracks are career pathways for the non-clinical team; the Dental CPD track is verifiable CPD for dentists, nurses, hygienists, therapists and technicians, mapped to the GDC recommended topics.
Your role is who you are — receptionist, administrator, coordinator or GDC registrant — and each role page shows a complete learning path. Topics are what a course is about (front desk, administration, treatment coordination, GDC core CPD, compliance…). Many courses belong to several roles: safeguarding, for example, appears on every pathway.
Receptionists and administrators are not GDC registrants, so CPD is not a legal requirement for them — but CQC expects evidence that every team member is trained in safeguarding, infection control, information governance and complaints. Our certificates provide that evidence and give non-clinical staff a recognised record of professional development.
Yes. Every certificate states the course aims and objectives, anticipated learning outcomes, GDC development outcomes, the quality-assurance process and the number of CPD hours — the elements the GDC requires for verifiable CPD. Registrants log the hours in their own eGDC record.
